Hang Zou is a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Mérouane Debbah at Digital Future Institute (DFI) at Khalifa University. Before that, he was a researcher at AI Cross-Center Unit of Technology Innovation Institute (TII), Abu Dhabi, UAE from 2022 to 2025. He received a Ph.D. degree at Laboratoires des Signaux et Systèmes (L2S) with CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay University in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Samson Lasaulce. He received his M.Sc. degree in Advanced Wireless Communication System from CentraleSupélec/ University of Paris-Sud in 2018. Before that, he received his B.Sc. degree of Optical & Electronic Information from Huazhong University of Science & Technology, China and of Information, System and Technology from University of Paris-Sud, France in 2016. His main research interest is Semantic Communications, Goal-oriented Communications, Generative AI Model Compression and LLM-powered Telecom Applications.
