All sales are final, aside from exceptions stated in the policy below.
We reserve the right to retain any goat. All goats are generally sold on a first-come-first-serve basis, aside from those reserved. No deposit is required to reserve an unborn kid from a specific breeding or to be put on the waitlist for a specific pairing. Once the kid is born, the potential buyers will be contacted with the opportunity to lock in their reservation in the order by which they are listed on the waitlist. In order to lock in the reservation once the kid is born, a deposit of 50% of the total price is required within 48 hours of being notified of the kid's birth, with the remaining being due at time of pickup. If the buyer does not respond within the 48-hour window of the birth notification, the buyer will forfeit their position on the waitlist and the next waitlist member in order will be notified. The deposit is non-refundable, unless the transaction should be canceled on the seller's side, in which case the buyer will receive a full refund. Once an agreed upon pick-up date is set, there will be a $3/day per goat boarding fee applied for each additional day past the set pick-up date, unless otherwise stated by the seller. Should a pick-up date be rescheduled more than twice or the buyer is unable to commit to a pick-up date after one week of being notified of the goat's (kid or adult) readiness, the seller reserves the right to sell the goat to the next interested party and the previous buyer's deposit is forfeit and they forfeit all claims to the goat. Should a goat die after a deposit has been received, the buyer will have the option of either a full refund or to apply the funds toward another goat.
Any goats purchased that are not reserved kids and/or are listed on the 'For Sale' page, will require a deposit of 50% of the total price if the scheduled pick-up date is longer than 3 days from the buyer's stated desire to purchase the goat and/or the pick-up location is off-farm. The remaining balance will be due at the time of pick-up. All deposits are non-refundable, unless the transaction is cancelled by the seller, in which case the buyer will receive a full refund. There will be an additional $3/day boarding fee per goat for each day past the agreed-upon pick-up day, unless otherwise stated by the seller.
Any unregistered kids offered for sale are required to be picked up on the bottle within 3 weeks of birth. If, for any reason, the buyer requests the unregistered kid be held until weaned, it is up to the seller's discretion if an exception is made. If the seller agrees to hold an unregistered kid until weaned, there will be an additional $100 fee added to the original price of the kid.
Weaning age is 8 weeks from the kid's date of birth. Any and all kids that are held until weaned must have a pick-up date scheduled and/or be picked up by 9 weeks from the kid's date of birth. If there is no pick-up date scheduled and/or the pick-up date is after 9 weeks from the kid's date of birth, a $3/day per goat boarding fee will be applied, per seller's discretion, for each additional day past the 9-week mark.
The wellbeing of our animals is our top priority, and so we reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason. We also will not sell to a home where a goat will be housed by itself or without other goats. Once a goat leaves our farm, we are no longer responsible for the animal's health however, all animals are up to date on vaccinations, dewormings, etc. and are healthy prior to departure. Additionally, we do not guarantee the height of the animal. Should a goat be unable to reproduce due to a proven genetic abnormality, the buyer will be eligible to receive a goat of equal value as replacement. The seller must receive a signed veterinary report regarding the genetic abnormality in order to prove eligibility for a replacement goat.

All does visiting the farm are required to have individually tested negative for CAE and Johnes within 6 months of the breeding visit, and proof of testing and results are required prior to the does arrival on the property. Any does with current cysts, a history of untested cycts, cysts that have tested positive for CL via pus sample, and/or any does who have tested positive for CL via other tests, including but not limited to blood tests will not be permitted on the property. Only driveway/in-hand breedings are offered, and visiting does are not permitted to stay overnight nor will be permitted to have any physical contact with the goats living on our property other than the selected breeding buck. All breedings will take place in the driveway and/or yard. Visiting does will not be permitted to enter any pens/pastures inhabited by the goats living on our farm. Breeding visits are by appointment only; no walk-ins. The owner of the visiting doe(s) are required to remain on site for the entire duration of the breeding encounter, is responsible for handling their doe, and for bringing their own handling equipment. We reserve the right to refuse and turn away any doe at any time for any reason, as the health and safety of our bucks/herd is our top priority.
A 50% deposit of the total is required to book a breeding visit. The remaining 50% will be due at the time of the breeding visit and must be in hand before breeding commences. Any cancellations for any reason must be done prior to 48 hours before the scheduled breeding appointment in order to receive a full refund of the deposit. The deposit becomes non-refundable 48 hours prior to the scheduled visit. Should the first breeding attempt fail to result in pregnancy and the visiting doe comes back into heat, the visiting doe may return for two additional complimentary rebreeding attempts as long as the doe has not been exposed to another buck since the first driveway breeding attempt and is still within the 6-month required widow for negative disease testing (see above). Exposure to any other bucks after the initial breeding visit voids any complimentary rebreedings. Any and all complimentary rebreeding attempts must be redeemed within the same calendar year as the original breeding attempt. A service memo for the buck used during the breeding visit will be submitted through ADGA within 24 hours of the breeding visit. We do NOT guarantee nor are responsible for conception and NO refunds will be issued should the visiting doe not successfully conceive after the initial breeding and/or any subsequent rebreeding attempts.
We do NOT guarantee nor are responsible for pregnancy/conception, live kids, number of kids, sex of kids, color/markings, height, show quality, milk production, or future linear appraisal scores. The visiting doe owner is responsible for the health and safety of their doe prior to, during, and after the breeding visit. The owner of the visiting doe is responsible for all veterinary expenses associated with their doe. We are not responsible for any pre-existing health conditions belonging to the visiting doe. We are not responsible nor to be held liable for complications of any kind that occur after the visiting doe returns home.
