All sales are final aside from exceptions stated in policy below.
We reserve the right to retain any goat. All goats are generally sold on a first-come-first-serve basis, aside from those reserved. No deposit is required to reserve an unborn kid from a specific breeding or to be put on the waitlist for a specific pairing. Once the kid is born, the potential buyers will be contacted with the opportunity to lock in their reservation in the order by which they are listed on the waitlist. In order to lock in the reservation once the kid is born, a deposit of 50% of the total price is required within 48 hours of being notified of the kid's birth, with the remaining being due at time of pickup. If the buyer does not respond within the 48-hour window of the birth notification, the buyer will forfeit their position on the waitlist and the next waitlist member in order will be notified. The deposit is non-refundable, unless the transaction should be canceled on the seller's side, in which case the buyer will receive a full refund. Once an agreed upon pick-up date is set, there will be a $3/day boarding fee applied for each additional day past the set pick-up date, unless otherwise stated by the seller. Should a goat die after a deposit has been received, the buyer will have the option of either a full refund or to apply the funds toward another goat.
Any goats purchased that are not reserved kids and/or are listed on the 'For Sale' page, will require a deposit of 50% of the total price if the scheduled pick-up date is longer than one week from the buyer's stated desire to purchase the goat and/or the pick-up location is off-farm. The remaining balance will be due at the time of pick-up. All deposits are non-refundable, unless the transaction is cancelled by the seller, in which case the buyer will receive a full refund. There will be an additional $3/day boarding fee for each day past the agreed-upon pick-up day, unless otherwise stated by the seller.Â
The wellbeing of our animals is our top priority, and so we reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone for any reason. We also will not sell to a home where a goat will be housed by itself or without other goats. Once a goat leaves our farm, we are no longer responsible for the animal's health however, all animals are up to date on vaccinations, dewormings, etc. and are healthy prior to departure. Additionally, we do not guarantee the height of the animal. Should a goat be unable to reproduce due to a proven genetic abnormality, the buyer will be eligible to receive a goat of equal value as replacement. The seller must receive a signed veterinary report regarding the genetic abnormality in order to prove eligibility for a replacement goat.
