Students from Gr K-Gr.12 are invited to participate in the 4th annual Student Business Fair
Location: Creston Room of the Rec Centre Saturday April 11 from 10:00-12:00 (with set-up from 9:00-10:00).
Students can create an original product (ie: baking, crafts, wood working, jewelry...) or use their table to advertise for a service business they might want to enact (ie: babysitting, yard work).
Products must be original (rather than buying something to resell)
Students are welcome (but not required) to choose a local charity that they could donate a percentage of their proceeds to (with a sign at their table letting their customers know their intentions).
Tables are 8 feet long, and in some cases students can have their own table (as long as space & numbers allow). Students with small products or small numbers of products are usually happy to share space with another students. Students can also partner up with a friend to create their business.
For any food products general market health guidelines & hygiene practices need to be followed. We are aiming to follow these guidelines for the selling of food. Please see page 3 for the list of low risk foods, or click on the image below. temporary-food-market-guidelines.pdf (islandhealth.ca)
Businesses need to be student-run & created (with input & help for younger students as needed)
Please email kristina.leidums@sd8.bc.ca if you're interested in signing up!
