The Village of Winthrop Harbor “Welcome Home!” Expo is intended to assist our residents, homeowners, and business owners by presenting manufacturers, contractors, and suppliers for property improvements for their consultation and consideration, including (but not limited to): driveways, patios, decks, porches, garages, sheds, additions, windows, doors, roofs, and more. Whether you are looking to spruce up your property or give it a complete makeover, the “Welcome Home!” expo will help you to meet and speak with qualified, licensed, and insured companies & contractors who can assist you with your home improvement goals.

Building Commissioner Sanjay R Singhal, RA will be available during the event to answer any questions you may have regarding the permit process, application requirements, and/or inspection requirements.
Winthrop Harbor Fire Department Free Smoke Detector Program
To help protect our community, the Winthrop Harbor Fire Department (with the generous assistance of the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance, the Illinois State Fire Marshal, and First Alert) is offering to install free smoke detectors for residents in need.

Members of the Winthrop Harbor Police Department will be at the Expo to talk to residents about home security.

We invite you to participate in the Expo by signing up via this weblink below; please also email us your company logo and official website so we can include you in our expo outreach efforts! Send your company's logo and website link to: ssinghal@winthropharbor.com upon completion of your registration!
Setup begins at 10 am on Saturday, 22 April, at the Schlader Building, located at 2700 9th Street in Winthrop Harbor.
You will have one (1) 6ft x 3ft table and two (2) folding chairs.
You must provide ALL your own equipment, marketing materials, handouts, flyers, etc. Electrical power availability is not guaranteed and will only be provided on a first come/first serve basis.
You are responsible for cleaning up your table/space at the end of the expo.
Takedown begins at 3 pm CT on Saturday, 22 April, and ends at 4 pm CT. You must have all items removed, leaving only the table & chairs as provided.
Any remnant materials/papers/items will be discarded.
