Scripture Regarding Your Authority as a Believer
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. Psalm 22:28 For the kingship and the kingdom are the LORD’S and He rules over the nations.
Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
v 7 There shall be no end to the increase of His government and of peace, [He shall rule] on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time forward and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.
Romans 13:1-2 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God [granted by His permission and sanction], and those which exist have been put in place by God.
v 2 Therefore whoever resists [governmental] authority resists the ordinance of God. And those who have resisted it will bring judgment (civil penalty) on themselves.
Ephesians 1:20-22 He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,
v 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion [whether angelic or human], and [far above] every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and world but also in the one to come.
v 22 And He put all things [in every realm] in subjection under Christ’s feet, and appointed Him as [supreme and authoritative] head over all things in the church.
1 Peter 2:13-14 Submit yourselves to [the authority of] every human institution for the sake of the Lord [to honor His name], whether it is to a king as one in a position of power,
v 14 or to governors as sent by him to bring punishment to those who do wrong, and to praise and encourage those who do right.

1 Thessalonians 4:6 No man shall transgress and defraud his brother because the Lord is the avenger in all these things.
2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and how to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.

Job 22:28 You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.
Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].

Joel 2:25-26 And I will compensate you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the creeping locust, the stripping locust, and the gnawing locust – My great army which I sent among you.
v 26 You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied and praise the name of the LORD your God who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.
1 Peter 5:10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be].
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

Joel 2:32 And it shall come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be saved [from the coming judgment].
Mark 16:16 He who has believed [in Me] and has been baptized will be saved [from the penalty of God’s wrath and judgment]; but he who has not believed will be condemned.
John 3:16 For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].
Romans 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:13 For “WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD [in prayer] WILL BE SAVED.”
Titus 2:11 For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.
Titus 3:5-7 He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we have done, but because of His own compassion and mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth (spiritual transformation, regeneration) and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
v 6 whom He poured out richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior,
v 7 so that we would be justified [made free of the guilt of sin] by His [compassionate, undeserved] grace, and that we would be [acknowledged as acceptable to Him and] made heirs of eternal life [actually experiencing it] according to our hope (His guarantee).
