About Us

Holy Family Homeschoolers meets for classes at the Houston Museum of Natural Science in a group on either  Thursday or Friday once a month from September to May (excluding December).

Students, grouped by age, explore science, nature, and history in two interactive labs in the morning from 9:30am  to 12:00pm. Each lab is an hour long with a maximum of 25 students in the group.  General age groupings are approximate and as follows:

Group A - K through 2nd graders

Group B - 3rd and 4th graders

Group C - 5th and 6th graders

Group D - 7th-12th graders

Every month we do a special afternoon activity around the museum such as an exhibit tour, an IMAX movie, or a planetarium visit. All students must have a parent or designated adult chaperone attend the afternoon activities with them.

Tuition is $140 per student.  This includes all labs for 8 visits.

Extra tickets for the afternoon activities are $5 each or $40 for the year.  These are required for everyone over the age of 2.

Waiting List Details

Families are encouraged to register even once groups are filled so they can be placed on the waiting list.  Students are placed tentatively in the appropriate age group with a waiting list ranking based on the order in which their registration was received.  In the event that a family withdraws from the group, a waiting list family with a student in the same age group will be notified and given the option to join our group for the remainder of the year at a prorated price.  On occasion a family will be absent and a waiting list family (with a student in the same age group) will be notified and given the option to join our group for this day only.  Please contact HolyFamilyHMNS@gmail.com for more information.
