Since human is a mediator between the natural and man-made worlds, we thought of shaping our exhibition in form of the human body. In order to bring the element of water into the site, we decided to make this human body by the curved shapes that would represent the intertwined flow of water from the rivers into the drinking fountains, and eventually into our bodies.
The outer black layer (the outer shape of the “figure”): the walls ~2.5m height.
The inner black shapes: chairs, where guests can sit/rest. Made out of thick transparent glass filled with the liquid similar to the one that is placed in the liquid lava lamps.*
Red dots: the location of the objects that are either hung on the wall or, if we have models of the objects, placed in front of the wall next to their “wall” descriptions.
The blue curve: the path that guests will have to follow to see the objects in the right order. the floor segments that will be made out of thick glass with the water flowing underneath to recreate the river-like space.* The water will be moving in a circular motion. (From last red dot to the START, the water will flow under floor, not visible to people's eyes.)
The rest of the floor (white space inside the body figure) and the walls: white stone pattern*, to create the feeling of being on the river bank.
Location of the exhibition: outdoors (no ceiling)
