Culminating Task
I have chosen 6 early medal winners to write a short news blurb on. Or you could just do the one athlete. (My kids all copy off of each other... plus I was thinking that having them choose an athlete might be more engaging) - focus is writing a& practicing new sports and adjectives vocabulary. Print on LEGAL sized paper.
The last page, is a differentiated version of Mikaël Kingsbury's regular worksheet, with less expectations, and an easier reading blurb for DI students.
Hopefully you can show the win/podium videos to the kids so they can learn about our winners as well as the blurb I wrote on each page. Also to note I tried to put different helpful words in the 'helpful word bank' on each page, to limit student questions LOL! And they should also use the main vocab. page with sports and adjectives to help too!
Bulletin Board
printable title (tabloid) just glue together
posters and maps plus a title for a metal count, and blank metals to fill out and put up as we win!
Found this list somewhere of our athletes! 207 of them!
