A Statement by 

Holly Spaulding

Hello there! My name is Holly and I’m the person behind the photos you see! Ever since I was young, I’ve had a passion for photography of all sorts of things. I would use my tablet camera to take pictures of things I’d find around the neighborhood.  

My vision is all about curiosity and creativity. This world and the stars beyond have so much to share through large moments and small. There is always something new to photograph wherever I go! And I want to share these moments with the world which is where my photography comes from. My materials only consist of my Canon Rebel camera, myself and the world around me. 

My hope with these photos is that the viewer will spend a bit of time with the photo. Really study it and make a meaning that fits the viewer. I want the viewer to remember the photos and hopefully become inspired themselves to explore the world around them. There are so many things from our past, present and future to be seen that waits just beyond us.

All these photos connect to each other in that they all capture curiosity. Show that the world is more than just a rock in space. Instead that it is a place of wonder, culture and excitement. It’s simply all a reflection of how I've experienced this world myself and my ever ending heart for curiosity. It’s why I read lots of fact books as a kid. Why I spent so much time browsing random subjects and why I now do photography. Thank you for reading this artist statement!
