Jessica Hollingsworth MA, LDT-C, W.D.P - Co-Owner/Director Educational Services
Jessica has five-plus years of experience as a special education professional in urban and suburban schools. She finished her post-master certification for learning disabilities teacher's consultant and certification as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. Jessica is versed in language arts using the Columbia teacher's college readers and writers workshop model (Lucy Calkins). She specializes in dyslexia and is a certified Wilson instructor. She also offers tutoring for language arts, math, and executive functioning for elementary and middle school students.
Jessica graduated from Montclair State University with her master's in elementary school education and special education. While attending Montclair, Jessica focused on the universally designed classroom and how to apply these dynamics in the current educational environment. Jessica has experience working with students who have behavioral disabilities and audiovisual processing disabilities (dyslexia). Jessica is versed in the NJ Special Education Code and can serve as an advocate for an Individual Education Plan (IEP) meeting. She has successfully helped families self-advocate and teach them their parental rights in special education (PRISE) to facilitate a positive relationship between the schools and families.
