This program is designed to accommodate participants of all ages and fitness levels. The course will be focused on building strength and toning muscles with the use of your own body as well as a variety of other pieces of equipment. Each class will be a total body workout to ensure that all muscles are properly targeted, while simultaneously engaging in cardiovascular activities; thus creating the perfect combination for fat loss. Each participant is asked to wear sneakers/comfortable clothing and to bring their own mat and towel.

A Mindful Eating Program: Savor the Moment Instructor - Annette DeNies Course Fee- $40

“Savor the Moment” is a powerful Mindful-Eating Program that nourishes not only our body, but also our heart. Mindful eating is simply being fully present while we eat. It is not directed by charts, pyramids, tables, or scales; rather, by your own inner experience as it unfolds moment by moment. Through mindfulness practices we will become more aware of our bodies, hearts, and minds. Learning through our senses, we will touch in on our curious and playful nature as we investigate our responses to food and our inner cues to hunger and satisfaction. Learning the art of letting go of self-critical judgments, we begin to experience more balance, choice, and wisdom—enhancing our capacity to transform our whole relationship with food and the quality of our lives. During our time together, we will become familiar with the 7-Hungers, our eating behaviors, and the how to work with our food cravings.

Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED training course gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. The course is held over one 3- hour training session. Students who complete the program will receive a text and 2- year certification card. The American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) is a nonprofit association focused on providing the highest quality safety and health training nationwide. It consists of over 35,000 professional safety educators and 5,500 training centers dedicated to improving emergency care. isafety company is the authorized regional training center for ASHI.

Holiday Crafts for Kids is a fun hands-on craft club. Students will design their own holiday t-shirts, paint a holiday canvas, decorate a Santa hat, and design a family ornament. They will also create puzzles, bookmarks, door hangers, and jingle necklaces. Children will enjoy working and creating with holiday music playing during each workshop session.

If you have taken a CultureKids class previously, new vocabulary is introduced with each session--never a repeat. Join the fun! CultureKids, founded in 1999, offers Spanish enrichment programs for preschool and elementary students. They are dedicated to teaching the Spanish language to children using an established, successful curriculum that introduces the foreign vocabulary in a fun and interactive manner. Dr. Horohoe will teach a twelve-week course presenting: the functions and uses of the French language; pronunciation, grammar, and the concepts which underlie the language; the culture and geography of French-speaking countries and regions like France, Quebec, Morocco, and Martinique; and practical use of French in real world situations.

Beginning Guitar - Learn the Basics Instructor – Suzanne Sprague Course Fee- $62

Learn about the crazy and comical history of a game that’s endured nearly 1500 years (and how to kick people’s butt at it). Certainly a fun and addicting way to grow and keep the mind active.
