Hi everyone! I'm Kelsey, born and raised in the beautiful Bay Area. I am certified Level 1 Crossfit trainer and nutrition coach dedicated to guiding individuals about their health and fitness journey from a holistic approach. I created Holistic Wellness with the intention of empowering individuals by providing tools and support to achieve goals and live a balanced, authentic lifestyle.
I've been passionate about health and fitness since I was in high school, however my journey was not always easy. Growing up, I always struggled with my weight since I was a young girl. My family got by and we lived off of fast food and eating out. However, I always played sports-- I played competitive soccer since I was 4 years old up to college. My breakthrough with losing weight was once I found CrossFit. Once, I started CrossFit I was introduced to a "healthier way" to consume food by restricting any food that was considered "bad". Although I had lost weight, I gained a toxic way of viewing food and developed an eating disorder called binge eating. It took me years trying to redefine how I viewed food and what I thought was the only way to be healthy until I found macro counting that provided me with knowledge and tools about nutrition.
When I had an unhealthy relationship with food, it affected not only my training but all aspects of my life such as my mental, emotional and social well-being. Since then, I became passionate about viewing wellness from an holistic approach and becoming a nutrition coach. Being an elite competitive CrossFit athlete, fueling by body properly is just as important as my training.
Having a healthy relationship with food from a holistic approach recognizes that food is more than just fuel for the body; it's an essential aspect of overall well-being that INTERCONNECTS physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions. I am passionate about helping create healthy relationships with food that involves cultivating positive thoughts and attitudes towards eating, free from guilt, shame, or restrictive behaviors that I had previously encountered. Encouraging mindful eating practices, such as paying attention to hunger and fullness cues, and choosing nourishing options that support mental clarity and emotional stability.I am passionate about creating an individualized program that will provide you knowledge and tools to achieve your goals and overall well-being!
