Navratri means 'Nine Nights' and is one of the most popular Hindu festivals celebrated in the country. The festival lasts for nine days and is known as Navadurga for Goddess Durga and her nine incarnations. Sharad Navratri is one of the five important Navratri festivals that mark the major festivals like Durga Puja and Dussehra. Sharad Navratri 2020 begins with Dussehra or Vijaya Dasami celebrations. Sharad Navratri begins on 17 Oct 2020(the first day) at a cell installation also known as Kalash Establishment. On the first day of Navratri, the first form of Goddess Durga is dedicated to Goddess Shailputri. She is the daughter of the Himalayas, and the name Shailaputri is a combination of the words Shail (mountain) and Putri (daughter). In her previous birth, Sati was the daughter of Dakshina. Satiga, her father immortalized after insulting her husband, Shiva. After being reborn in the form of Goddess Parvati, she married Lord Shiva seeking the blessings of her father. This incarnation of Goddess Parvati is depicted - chasing a bull, carrying a trident (trident) in her right hand and a lily in her left hand.
Chandraghantam Devi is worshiped on the third (third) day of Navratri. Her name is Chandraghanta which means “crescent in the shape of a bell. Her third eye is always open and she is always ready to fight the monsters ”. The ten-armed goddess is depicted as climbing a tiger. In the left hand, the fifth appears to be carrying a trident (trident), gada (mess), khadak (sword) and command (pot of water) in the left hand. Goddess Kushmanda is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri (Chaturthi). Her name is cracked to define her character - ku means "small", Usma means "warmth" or "energy", and "cosmic egg". According to Hindu mythology, Kushmanda Devi is believed to have created the universe with a shining smile. She is said to have the power to energize the sun, and therefore rule the sky. Since a devotee created the universe, Kushmanda Puja should be done with full devotion.

On the fifth day of the Navratri festival (Panchami), devotees worship Goddess Skandamata. She is depicted as running a ferocious lion carrying Lord Karthikeyan as a child. Hold the hand over the lilies with the right hand on the Abhaya seal. Mata Skandamata is believed to rule the Buddha (Planet Mercury). Devotees should honor our Skandamata by chanting this mantra:
On the sixth day of the Navratri festival (Shasti), Goddess Katyayani is worshiped as the sixth form of Goddess Durga. To kill the king of demons, Mata Parvati took the form of our Katyayani, which is considered to be the most serious form for her. Addressed as a warrior, Katyayani Devi empowers her female devotees to live a fair and trouble-free independent life. Young women also fast and worship Katyayani to please the goddess by seeking the blessings of a happy married life.
She is described as a dark warrior, she is as dark as night and frightens the living day by the evil forces in the universe. On the seventh day of the Navratri festival (Saptami) Kalaratri is celebrated with much enthusiasm. These are one of the most destructive forms of Kashi, Mahakali, Bhadrakali, Bhairavi, Death, Rudrani, Chamunda, Chandi and Durgadevi. As she climbs on top of the donkey, the four-armed goddess is carrying an iron chain and sword, while her right arm is on the shelter and flood seal.
Mahagauri is one of the eight forms of Navadurga worshiped during the festival. On the eighth day (Maha Ashtami) devotees worship her and offer jasmine flowers at night. She earned the name of Swatambhadhara by adorning only the white dress and was very beautiful. She has four arms and she runs a bull. The eighth day of Navratri is very sacred with Mahasami also known as Maha Durgashtami.
Siddhitatri is the ninth and last manifestation of Goddess Durga who is worshiped on the ninth day of Navratri festival (Maha Navami). The appearance of this form of our Durga is that she has four arms with discus, conical shell, trident and mace. She sits on a blooming lotus and chases the lion. They discipline the planet Ketu by giving direction and power. The ninth day of worshiping Siddhitri Devi is very important because Siddhidhri Devi has the power to fulfill any desire and give all kinds of Siddhis to his devotees, so much so that even Lord Shiva graciously received all the Siddhas.
