Wendell Connell - Elder Chairman
I was born and raised in Phelps County where I own and operate a local construction business. I have four children, Ashley, Cassidy, Seth and Malachi, one son-in-law, Ty and two grand kids, Harlow and Hadleigh. I like to read, hunt, and I love to spend time with my family as often as I can.
Jeff Borden - Elder
Jeff grew up attending Holcomb. Philippians 4:13 is one of his favorite verses. He has enjoyed serving in the church for several years. He is married to Kristy, they have three children, all of whom have graduated from Holdrege High School.
Rick Bergman - Elder
Rick Bergman is a farmer and a seed sales representative. After graduating from Holdrege high school, Rick attended Trinity International University and then graduated from UNL with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Together with his wife, Julie, he has four married children and thirteen adorable grandchildren. Spending time with friends and family at Johnson Lake is his favorite pastime. Rick has been on several mission trips to Haiti and several African countries. He serves on the boards of Southern Power District and Axios.
Austin Petersen - Elder
I was born in Valentine, NE. and moved around quite a bit even living in Hawaii for a while. My wife Jamie (Wells) grew up at Holcomb and it’s so nice planting our roots in Holdrege and at Holcomb. I am a laboratory technician at KAAPA ethanol. We have 2 young sons Owen and Wells who keeps us on our toes. I enjoy hunting, playing board games and Husker football.
Devin Gall - Elder
I was born in Grand Island, NE and moved to Elwood during my high school years. I now Farm and Ranch. I became a Christian shortly before I met my beautiful wife Tessa, and that’s when I started attending Holcomb. The Lord has blessed us with four wonderful children, Kip, Brett, Hallie, and John. I enjoy spending time with my family, and going to the lake.
Mark Wells - Elder
I was born and raised in Holdrege. I’m a third-generation farmer and Seed Sales Representative. I started attending Holcomb when I was dating my better half Heidi (Davison) and established our family at Holcomb. I am blessed with 3 daughters and 3 wonderful sons-in-laws and 2 grandsons who keep us active. I enjoy spending time with my family and hunting.
