Derek’s Story

Derek is a long-standing and committed member of the Holbrook Club who has always been willing to help wherever needed. His contribution to the club extends well beyond riding, and he is well known for his reliability, generosity with his time, and quiet dedication to the club and its members.

In 2019, Derek was involved in a serious accident and sustained a spinal cord injury. The injury was unexpected and life-changing, and it marked a significant turning point in his life.

Throughout his recovery, Derek has shown strength, determination, and resilience. He has been supported by his family, friends, and the club community during this time.

The Holbrook Motorcycle Sports Club has continued to support Derek following his injury. What began as immediate assistance has grown into ongoing support and continued involvement with the club he has contributed to for so many years.

Derek’s story reflects the values of the club — commitment, resilience, and community. His ongoing determination and connection to the club remain an important part of club life and serve as a reminder of the strength found within the people behind the events.

Derek continues to make steady progress, and the club is pleased to support and acknowledge his ongoing journey.
