我们在美瑛町创作陶艺作品，以生活在北海道美丽自然中的动物为主题。

北登窯は陶芸家・越智良太が、美瑛町五稜で始めました。
愛媛県砥部町出身。大阪の専門学校で陶芸を学んだ後、江戸時代から続く砥部焼の産地である砥部町に戻り、登山窯にて約15年間、砥部焼の職人として修行しました。
その後北海道へ移住し、一時は会社員として働いたのち、美瑛町の山間部に自ら窯を開き、制作を始めました。
現在は自然環境の中で制作を行い、動物や風景などをモチーフにした造形作品を中心に制作を続けています。窯の周囲には野生動物が現れることもあり、制作環境の一部となっています。

北登窯という名称は、修行時代に学んだ登山窯に由来しています。
その経験を基に北海道で新たに窯を築いたことから、「北」と「登」の字を組み合わせて名付けられました。
The name “Hokuto-gama” derives from the climbing kiln where the artist trained during his apprenticeship.
After relocating to Hokkaido and establishing a new kiln, the characters for “north” and “climb” were combined to form the name.
