Midas

Background

• Born in China but raised in America to strict parents, Midas was always a brilliant mind, excelling in academics and most things that he took interest in. Despite being gifted, he was never allowed out to do things with other kids.

• Throughout his life, his parents would push him to follow a career in medicine and he lived under careful watch of them up until his first job as a surgical assistant at age 21. Midas didn't love nor hate the job, simply just doing what he was told.

• Being away from his family and around others his age for the first time struck something within Midas' heart, making him realise how much life he had lost due to living out the dreams of others, this stoked the fires of a deep hatred that would only be fed over the coming year.

• One day the build-up of stress caused him to mess up during an operation, accidentally killing a patient and leading to him being given a psychological evaluation, and a serious diagnosis.

• Finding out about this incident started an argument with his father, yelling led to pushing which led to hitting which led to Midas running away, shaking and bloody and nothing but the look on his mothers face playing across his tattered mind. Days? weeks? Passed as Midas eventually found himself laying in an alley, self inflicted wounds melding with those that his father had given him in a fit of torment induced mania.

• He was found by Nio at age 22 and invited to work for LIMBO.
