Hocking hills is known for their amazing hiking trails, Old Man's Cave is the most popular hiking trail in hocking Hills ohio. It opened in 1924.

In 1924, the State of Ohio purchased 146 acres of land in Hocking Hills. This included Old Man's Cave. It was First owned and operated by the Ohio Department of Forestry.
