This Privacy Policy outlines the practices of HobbySoft (the "Developer", "we'', "us" or "our") concerning the collection, use and disclosure of information pertaining to application  users.

The Waypoint Bearing GPS (Former name: Forest Navigator) mobile application ("Application") is built by HobbySoft and provided on an "as is" basis. This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through the Application, and/or any related services, sales, marketing or events (we refer to them collectively in this Privacy Policy as the "Services"). In this Privacy Policy, we seek to explain to you what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. By accessing or using our services, you agree to abide by and not derogate from the terms of this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of information in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.

If there are any terms in this Privacy Policy that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our Application and our services.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?  

We collect the following types of data:

Anonymous Information. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device characteristics, language preferences, country,  approximate location, information about how and when you use our Application and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Application, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Mobile Device Data. The Application may automatically collect device information such as your mobile device ID, name, model and manufacturer, operating system and version information.

Mobile Identifiers. When you are using our Application, it may also get your Google Advertising ID, for advertising or analytics purposes. The Google Advertising ID is an anonymous identifier, provided by Google Play services. You may opt out of receiving targeted ads on mobile devices by using platform level controls enabled through your device settings. For more information you should consult your device settings and instructions provided by your device manufacturer.

In addition to device-level controls, the Application asks for your consent to personalized advertising directly within the app. If you decline, the Application will continue to display advertising, but it will be non-personalized and will not rely on your advertising identifier or device data to tailor the ads shown to you. You can change this choice at any time in the app's settings.

The Application collects location data even when the app is closed and working in the background for navigation purposes, namely to determine and display the user's current location on the map, direct the user to a point, remember and sort points of interest and user tracks. The Application stores and processes all location data only locally on the user's device where it is installed.

Location data is also used to support advertising.

Personal Information

• The Application does not collect any personal and confidential user data, with the exception of technical information about the device: the type of device and the version of the operating system that is added to the e-mail message to the app technical support. This information is used exclusively by the application support service in order to improve the  Application. The user can refuse to provide information about the device by removing it from the message before sending it.

• All data that has been saved by the user in the Application, namely photos of places, geographical coordinates, names and descriptions, are stored only on the user's device on which the Application was installed. The Application does not transfer data and does not process it in any other way or anywhere else, except directly on the user's device. The only exception is the ability for the user to create a backup copy of their data in their personal account on Google Drive.

• The application does not use any network and cloud services for sharing user data and does not have the means for any users to access other users' data. To exchange data between users, the application explicitly calls other applications installed by the user on the phone: e-mail, instant messengers, etc.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF COLLECTING THE INFORMATION?

We collect the information specified above in order to:

• • provide, develop, enhance, customize and improve the Services, based on the users' preferences, uses and interactions with the Services;

  • audit and track usage statistics and traffic flow;

  • perform research, as well as for analytical and statistical purposes;

  • respond to inquiries, feedbacks, support request and questions;

  • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.

WITH WHOM WE SHARE INFORMATION?

We do not share personal information with third parties except as specifically consented by the user pursuant to this Privacy Policy or if required by applicable laws or court order.

We share anonymous information with third parties, when this is required in order to provide, maintain or improve the Services and for the purposes detailed above, and only to the extent needed to provide such services.

Anonymous information may be shared with other third parties (including retailers, ad networks, advertising companies, service providers, media and other interested parties) in any of the above circumstances, as well as for the purpose of developing or delivering advertising (whether via our Services, or services of other third parties), or for the purpose of improving our Services, conducting business analysis or other business purposes. This information may be combined with information we collect from other sources, to the extent that the information remains anonymous information.

We may also share information in order to: (a) ensure compliance with any applicable law or regulation, subpoena or court order; (b) detect, prevent or otherwise eliminate fraud, security threats, violation of our policies or technical problems; (c) enforce the provisions of this Privacy Policy or any other agreements between the Developer and the user, including investigation of potential violations thereof; or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of the Developer, users, or any other third party.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?  

Unless we are instructed otherwise, we retain the information we collect for as long as needed to provide the Services and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Based on the laws of some countries, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it in some circumstances. You may, at any time, rectify, update or withdraw personal  information pertaining to you, by contacting us at app.hobbysoft@gmail.com.

SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

We use industry standard information security tools and measures, as well as internal procedures and guidelines to prevent information misuse and data leakage. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means and procedures to protect the information, which considerably reduce the risks of data misuse, we cannot guarantee that our systems will be absolutely safe.     INFORMATION FROM MINORS

We do not knowingly solicit data from children under 18 years of age. By using the Application, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Application. If we later obtain actual knowledge that an user is under 18 years of age, we will take steps to remove that user's information from our systems.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?  

In some regions (like the European Economic Area and the Russian Federation), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. To make such a request, please use the e-mail provided below. We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws. 

If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note however that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal.   

UPDATES OR AMENDMENTS TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise the Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or by directly sending you a notification. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page. The continued use of the Services following notice of such amendments, constitutes acknowledgement and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments. The last revision will be reflected in the "Last Updated" heading.
