As a stake, we strive to "Place the love of God and sacred covenants at the center of our lives." This is aligned with direction from the Utah Area Presidency (see utah.churchofjesuschrist.org).

In support of this direction, we invite members, parents, and leaders to focus on the importance of a covenant relationship with God and his Son, Jesus Christ using the content provided below.

Parents, with support from ministering brothers and sisters, can prepare their children for A Lifetime on God's Covenant Path, by studying the important Covenant of Baptism, by teaching their children about the importance of Temples and Temple Worship, and by reviewing Preparing Your Child for Temple Baptisms and Confirmation.

Young members can understand more About Proxy Baptism and Confirmation and the blessings of the Temple, with young men also learning about the Aaronic Priesthood in preparation to participate in the Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood on their way to receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood. Young members can also prepare themselves for the powerful covenants of the Temple Endowment and Temple Sealing ordinances and the blessings of receiving and wearing the Sacred Temple Clothing.

Prospective missionaries can prepare for missionary service by reviewing the Letter to the Prospective Missionary from the Stake President, by attending the ward Mission Preparation Course, and by studying Church-provided Mission Preparation Materials. Finally, when they are ready to serve, they can refer to Mission Application Steps.

Bishops and Ward Councils can refer to the Guide for Ward Councils and this website with leaders and members. They can regularly review a report of those approaching a covenant opportunity to ensure proper preparation. They can review Youth Interviews and Advancement direction. They can direct prospective missionaries to the Letter to the Prospective Missionary and, when ready to apply for a mission, they can review the Mission Application Steps with the prospective missionary.
