Privacy Policy for HoardStored

1. Chad Kelly ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. I created HoardStored to be an offline-first application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the HoardStored mobile application.
2. Data Collection and Storage HoardStored is designed to process and store your data locally on your device. We do not operate any servers to collect, store, or process your personal data, items, descriptions, or tags.

All text, metadata, and app preferences are stored in a local database on your device.

We do not collect analytics, crash logs, or user behavior data.
3. Camera and Photos The app requires access to your device's Camera and Photo Gallery to allow you to add images to your stored items.

Photos taken within the app or imported from your gallery remain on your device.

We use Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition (OCR) and image labeling. This processing happens entirely locally on your phone's hardware. Your images are never sent to our servers or Google's servers for processing.
4. Google Drive Integration and User Data To allow you to back up your data, HoardStored requests access to your personal Google Drive account.

Authentication: We use Google Sign-In to authenticate your account securely.

Data Usage: The app only uses Google Drive access to upload and restore backup files (ZIP/JSON) containing your HoardStored database and photos.

Developer Access: I (the developer) cannot see, read, modify, or access any files in your Google Drive. The backup process occurs strictly between your device and your Google account.

Compliance: HoardStored's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Third-Party Services While we do not collect your data, the app utilizes on-device services provided by Google (Google Play Services, ML Kit, Google Drive API). These services may collect basic diagnostic data as governed by Google's own Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
