Dr. Chung is a genomics-driven neuroscientist studying brain development and neurodevelopmental disorders through multi-omics in both human and animal models. During his PhD, he suggested early intervention time windows in autism spectrum disorders using the Shank2 mutant mouse model. In his postdoc, he investigated key questions in human brain development and disease, applying advanced genetic tools to human brain tissue. He continues to leverage mosaic variant barcoding and single-cell multi-omics to uncover human-specific mechanisms underlying brain development and pathology.
