Mock Trial (HS only)

Description:

Students compete against other schools arguing a assigned case. Students play the role of either a witness or attorney. Requires weekly time commitment to analyze case, build an argument and practice roles prior to competition.

This is a highly competitive program requiring dedication and responsibility to be successful.

Model UN (HS only)

Description:

Students simulate the United Nations by joining committees, writing position papers and debating resolutions to real world problems. This club requires a commitment to attend the Model UN Conference at Yale University to represent HMTCA and your assigned country in committee. Public speaking is a required skill.

Black Student Union (HS only)

Description:

The Black Student Union is a High School Club that is open to all High School students. The purpose of this organization is as follows:

  • To enlighten and enrich appreciation for African American history and culture among the student body at HMTCA.

  • To create a greater awareness and access to historically black post-secondary options for students.

  • To increase awareness about the issues that African Americans face today.

  • To promote a positive image of Black students and teachers

  • To bring our HMTCA student body closer together.

Ancient World Discovery Club

Description:

Explore the cool history of the Ancient Worlds through activities and discoveries! Together with Trinity College professors and students, we will engage in lots of different activities that bring the Ancient World to our modern senses!

Club participants who finish activities will receive a Certificate of Participation from Trinity College. Great on your application for NJHS, NHS, high school or college!
