A Big Family

When the Missionaries Servants of the Word started the experience of evangelizing the laity to evangelize with the laity, many thought that it had no future, but God does not tell his plans before doing them, he just goes directing everything to make things go as he seems good. A group of young people led by a priest of missionary heart went out on the adventure without knowing where would stop all, supported only in the faith and the graces of God that can do everything. This initiative crystallized in the Movement Missionary Servants of the Word (MMSP ), young people devoted a year or more to the missionary life, providing such service free. Most retired to their home to continue their life as secular (EX-SEPA). Young people who decided to stay indefinitely to give their life to evangelization, formed the two Institutes of Consecrated Religious Life: the men were called Missionaries Servers of the Word (MSP) and the Women were called Missionary Sisters Servants of the Word. Each Institute implemented the rules according to the canon law, the life stages of Consecrated Religious Life are: aspirant, postulate, novitiate, and consecration juniorate and perpetual. There were others who, having tasted the effectiveness of the word of God through evangelization, decided to spend a few hours a week to the ministry, according to their abilities. This group will be called Servants of the Word of limited time (SEPATLI). The circumstances were transforming that group to form the current Evangelizing Communities for Reconciliation and Service (CERS).

The youth who could not do their missionary experience but could not interrupt their studies or other activities, began to form youth groups. This led to another branch of the same family, distributed in groups doing some apostolic work in their parishes: Youth Missionary Movement (MOJUMI). The Servants of the Word are aware that working with youth is to bet on the future of the Church.

Children also were excited especially with the children's supplement that is part of the magazine Inquietud Nueva, so they began to integrate the Children Missionary Servants of the Word (NMSP). These children have simple but noticeable ministries, in their family and parish; they teach what they learn from the Word of God and spread the good news. And, of course! Teens could not stay back so they also grouped under the name ADOSEPAS. These make apostolate especially on holidays, via plays with Christian messages, choreography to animate youth or adult retreats... with their enthusiastic activity they spread to others, who also are integrated after. All these branches are the great family of the Missionary Servants of the Word, they are characterized by the enthusiasm with which they embrace the service in the ministry, generosity and dedication with which testify and enlighten the environments where they are.

The Missionary Servants of the Word strive to promote all members of the family in their missionary spirit to work with enthusiasm for parochial communities. The same in the houses that are in Mexico and those in other countries like Guatemala, Chile, Venezuela , USA, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Kenya, Tanzania, .... We spread the word of God joyfully and creatively.

Countless cases could be told about the activity that all these groups perform in their environments. To cite one: the case of members of ADOSEPAS groups that in some public places, more with their enthusiasm than concepts , convince people to pray with them or listen to some reflection of Scripture.
