Nestor Jaenz is a multi-talented musician, conductor, and producer. He is a prize winner of the International Conductors Workshop and Competition two years in a row (2012, 2013). Jaenz has also been a guest conductor with the various groups around the world. He began serious musical study at the age of 14 in his native country of Honduras, where he specialized in the oboe. While a student at the Escuela de Musica Victoriano Lopez,Jaenz won the Juan Tutuo Diffent Young Artist Competition three consecutive years: (1998,1999,2000). In 2002, he moved to the United States to continue his studies at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). Jaenz has been playing professionally since 2001 and has shared the stage with musical luminaries Christopher Parkening, Sir James Galway, and Placido Domingo. He holds Masters Degree in Oboe performance and Opera Conducting from Georgia Southern University where he studied under internationally-acclamed oboist and conductor Maestro Adrian Gnam. Jaenz is also a gifted orchestral composer and arranger and has recently produced several commercial recordings ranging in styles from rock to classical.
