Lab at a Glance
Hybrid Materials Lab is based in the Department of Chemistry, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, India. Our research is focused on three main aspects: Design and synthesis of Hybrid Materials, Functionality, Device Fabrication and its Application. The group alongside departmental and institutional facilities are home to a wide range of structural and material characterization techniques. Our present research encompasses design and synthesis of Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Network structure, Metal Organic Framework, etc. We explore the temperature dependent phase change (from high-T molten Liquid to low temperature quench Glass) and study the interseting physical and mechanical properties emerges from that. We also aim to utilise the dense amorphous glass materials in versatile applications, such as, energy harvesting thermoelectrics.
