The Holly Alonzo New Beginnings Scholarship is a one-time scholarship, with a minimum of $1,500.00 that will be awarded over two semesters, during the first year of the recipient’s college career. 

The scholarship will be awarded to an applicant based on future career goals, but not based on GPA requirements. The recipient of this scholarship must submit proof of college enrollment prior to receiving the scholarship’s awarded amount. Scholarship applicants should be planning to enter a 2-4 year degree program at any online or traditional college university or a vocational training school. 

In order to be considered, the applicant must write an essay that details future plans and/or career goals, and why they want to pursue their degree of choice. Applications will be accepted until one week prior to graduation. Completed applications and essays must be submitted via email to Mr. Timothy Johnson or Mrs. Veronica Knepp, at hmanewbeginnings@gmail.com (subject line, Holly Alonzo New Beginnings Scholarship applicant), to be considered for the scholarship award. The recipient of the scholarship may or may not be notified prior to the graduation commencement ceremony in May.
