Somewhere around the Millenium, a few tentative chats happened between some (then) work colleagues about forming a band "for a bit of a laugh". Mark Bundy would sing, Gary Pearce would play guitar, with experienced drummer Dave Lancashire, and bassist Ben Harknett.

After what seemed like an age, and many strange ideas later, the band named themselves "The 11th Hour", which would become Happy Millionaire by 2007.
In the following years Happy Millionaire changed line-ups often, with Mark and Gary the mainstay. Simon Clough, Herman Mendonca and Steve Horwood drummed, Simon Ingram, Mike Gabriel, Ian Fraser and Brad Nagle played guitar, Noel Loughran tinkled the ivories for a while.
They released several albums and singles, including a Best Of in February 2017.
