In a video on his social media accounts, the prophet addresses the 16.5 million global members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints regarding efforts by Church leaders to resume religious practice and worship in meetinghouses and temples worldwide.
Information and current situations continue to be closely monitored and approached with caution. The prophet assures step-by-step measures will be communicated to make sure it is safe to gather and revisit Church-sponsored activities. He also reminds all that wonderful days are ahead and all is in the control of a loving God.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the official name of the religion commonly called the Mormon Church. We believe first and foremost that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world and the Son of God. The roadmap to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ is outlined in the restored gospel and taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It starts with being baptised into Christ's fold and participating in His sacred ordinances and the fellowship of His Church. The journey continues with a loving congregation whose purpose is to lift and be lifted - and ultimately be saved in the Kingdom of God.
True happiness comes from following Christ's example and developing Christlike attributes such as obedience, goodness, honesty, gratitude, humility, love, charity and forgiveness. It comes from serving others and helping them to follow Jesus Christ. Following God's plan for us is the surest way to find happiness and endure life's challenges.
Over 16 million people from around the world have chosen to be part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Despite what many think, today only about 14 percent of its members live in Utah and over half live outside the United States. The Church has nearly 30,000 congregations more than 130 temples worldwide. We meet in local congregations called wards or branches each Sunday to worship and learn. We hope you will visit us soon in Bonstetten.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Under the leadership of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the earth. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was the Creator, He is our Savior, and He will be our Judge.
Through His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and by giving His life on the cross - that is, by performing the Atonement - Jesus Christ saves us from our sins as we follow Him. Because of the Atonement, you can be forgiven of your sins when you sincerely repent.
The Bern Temple in Switzerland is in Zollikofen, a small town about 10 km north of Bern, the capital of Switzerland.
Temples are sacred buildings that are considered to be the houses of the Lord. They are the most sacred structures on the earth.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint (Mormons) is led through revelation by a living prophet, who, as Moses, Peter and other prophets and apostles of old, receives God's word for us.
Today, Russell M. Nelson is the chosen prophet of God and acting President of the Church.
The church in Bonstetten took two years to build and was dedicated on 24th June 2012.
The church is open to all as a place to meet and worship, and to hold cultural activities which are "of good report or praiseworthy" (see 13th article of faith).
