I would like to welcome you to the AIM Grant informational and application page of the Hamilton Local Education Foundation.
AIM stands for Aspire, Innovate, and Motivate. We used the acronym AIM to stress the importance of aspiring to reach beyond the classroom, to innovate by thinking outside the box, and completing activities that motivate students to learn.
The AIM Grant program is designed to recognize and support creative and innovative exemplary practices that will have a positive impact on student achievement and/or provide enrichment experiences for the students of Hamilton Local Schools. Projects will be funded by monies obtained through the Hamilton Local Education Foundation for this express purpose. NO GENERAL FUND MONEY WILL BE USED.
Be sure to file your application form completely, new quarterly deadlines have been adopted. Please access this site for the most up to date deadlines.
1. AIM Grants must pertain to and/or support the academic and attendance standards adopted by Hamilton Local Schools.
2. AIM Grants will be awarded at the end of each QUARTER of the academic year.
3. The Grant Committee of the Hamilton Local Education Foundation will determine the final amount of the grant to be awarded. The committee consists of Hamilton Local alumni, community members, and a non-voting Board of Education member and staff members. Decisions will be made at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Hamilton Local Education Foundation and information will be shared periodically with the Hamilton Local School Board, Hamilton Local Superintendent’s Office, and individual building administrators.
4. All AIM Grant applications must be completed on the official AIM Grant Google form made available to staff of Hamilton Local Schools. Be sure to include as much specific information as possible. Applications with insufficient information will be returned. Return the form and all necessary information before the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Hamilton Local Education Foundation to be reconsidered during the next grant awarding period.
a. A detailed list of proposed expenditures must be included with the grant application. A purchase order for materials will be generated by the superintendent’s office. THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OR THE HAMILTON LOCAL EDUCATION FOUNDATION WILL MAKE ALL PURCHASES, teachers are not to purchase items individually as teachers will not be reimbursed for individual expenses from the Foundation.
b. After the items have been received or the activity has taken place, all receipts, not already in possession of the District Office, must be kept by the grant recipient and submitted to the Superintendent’s office for delivery to the Foundation. ALL ITEMS PURCHASED WITH GRANT MONIES BECOME THE PROPERTY OF HAMILTON LOCAL SCHOOLS.
c. Those receiving a grant shall keep a detailed account of the activities involved so that other teachers can replicate the program if and when supplies remain or are repurchased.
d. An End-of-Project report will be required. The report will consist of: feedback on the impact of the students, a paragraph that can be used as a press release and pictures of students and the project. This will be done using the End-of-Project Google Form.
e. By receiving the money through the AIM Grant, the applicant agrees to share/present information to the Board of Education if asked by a Board member, the Superintendent, building administrator, or the HLEF.
5. All certified employees of the Hamilton Local School District are eligible to submit an application. Aides and classified staff can also submit an application but must be sponsored by a certified staff member in order for their grant proposal to be considered.
