There is one application for semester programs managed by Gies Global Programs. You can rank up to 10 programs on your application. Click the link above to apply in My Study Abroad.

After you have been accepted and commit to HKUST:

You will receive an e-mail from HKUST with the application instructions within two weeks of nominations with application instructions and due dates. Nominations are made in early March for fall participants and early October for spring participants.

After completing your application, HKUST will email you regarding the status of your application. Once accepted (this can take up to two or three weeks), you will be sent an email with further instruction regarding housing, visa, insurance, etc. 

HKUST Requirements:

• Must be a junior or senior to participate (completed 2-full years of coursework)

• Must be a business major or minor.

• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0

• Strongly recommended that students in their last semester not participate because graduation will be delayed.

Deadline:

• Fall Semester: February 1st 

• If ranking both Fall and Spring options on application: February 1st

• Spring Semester :

  • Spring only (Early Access): February 1st

  • Additional rounds: May 1st and September 1st

  • Any remaining spots for Spring programs after the February 1st deadline will be open for the May 1st deadline. If available, they will also be open for the September 1st deadline.

• Note: Study abroad slots for each location are given out first in the Fall. Any remaining slots will be given in the Spring semester. If location is your top priority, we recommend applying for the Fall semester.
