It is important to apply for housing as soon as possible. Students will receive more information about housing and how to apply after your application has been accepted by HKUST. For fall participants they should email by late May at the latest and for spring participants late October.
Exchange students are accommodated in on-campus housing in double occupancy student halls on beautiful Clearwater Bay. More information about housing can be found at the following link here.
If you have questions regarding housing, it is best to contact your housing provider directly. Gies Global has no authority over host university policy and procedure. If it is a situation where you are not getting a response, please let us know.
Prior to arrival to campus, check with your housing provider to inquire about the earliest move-in date. If you plan to arrive early and are using university housing, you may be required to pay an extra fee for early move-in or may need to find other accommodations. Make sure to check the time that the housing office will be open for check-in. - Is this the same for research and summer school programs?
