PTE only takes place on weekdays (no tests on public holidays).
There are up to 4 time slots every test day (9 a.m., 12 p.m. , 3 p.m. and 6 p.m).
It costs USD 240.00 for each attempt.
The venue is located at Office B, 18/F, China Overseas Building, 139 Hennessy Road, Wanchai (next to MTR exit A2) [Update on 20 Dec 2019: there will be a new test centre starting from Jan 2020. The location is Room 2, 3/F Righteous Centre 585 Nathan Road, Mongkok).
There are around 15 seats for each session.
It is recommended to have your passport with you for check in (although the test center also accepts identity card and credit card as alternative at the moment).
You are not allowed to bring ANYTHING into the testing room.
Each test taker will be assigned to a workstation for his/her test (with a desktop computer, a headphone with mic, a pen and an erasable notebook).
The questions are randomly selected from the database. Every test taker will have their own sets of questions.
You can cancel or re-schedule your test at a reduced fee. Please refer to the handbook from PTE for latest policy (https://pearsonpte.com/test-taker-handbook/). Current policy attached below:
