About Me

I am working as a Staff AI Scientist at GE Healthcare India. Earlier, I did postdoctoral research with Prof. Mathews Jacob in the Computational Biomedical Imaging Group (CBIG) at the University of Iowa, USA.  I did my Ph.D. with Dr. Angshul Majumdar from IIIT-Delhi, India.

Research Interests

I have broad research interests in inverse problems in Imaging and Deep Learning. My research projects involve combining the power of classical optimization-based techniques with deep-learned regularizers for medical imaging applications. During my Ph.D., I primarily worked on compressed sensing and sparse recovery algorithms with applications in hyperspectral imaging.

Work Experience and Other Activities

• Serving as Guest Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging since January 2025.

• Delivered Expert talks at NIT Jaipur and NIT Delhi in Faculty Development programs in May and July 2025.

• Delivered lectures on the Basics of Deep Learning at IIT Palakkad in a course #EE5613 in 2024 and 2025.

• Served as Area Chair of IEEE ICIP-2024.

• Delivered a one-day tutorial on Model-Based Deep Learning for CT at IIT Kharagpur Summer School in July 2024. 

• Gave an expert talk at the National Forensic Sciences University on Advanced LaTeX Scientific Writing in June 2024.

• Served as a member of the IEEE seasonal schools review committee and the ICIP/ICASSP travel grant committees

• Served as an Expert Committee member of ANRF for "Wearable Electronics for Biomedical Applications" in 2023 and 2024.

• Gave an Invited Talk at IISc Bengaluru at the Aster Health Academy program in Aug 2024.

• Gave an Invited Talk at CSA IISc for the TalentSprint program on AI for Digital Health and Imaging in Oct 2024.

• Reviewer for IEEE: TMI, TIP, TGRS, TCI, TAES, LGRS, JSTARS, RBME; SPIE: JEI, JARS; MRM; Elsevier IF, ISPRS; OSA OE

• Developed payment Management software for the Delhi School of Music, India, from 2012 to 2022.
