Workshop Rationale

Advancing Theory-Informed and Interdisciplinary Methods  

Building on the first HK 3.0 Workshop in 2025, this second workshop continues to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on language, cognition, and society across the lifespan, with particular attention to Korean contexts and data-driven research. As new experimental, statistical, and computational methods rapidly expand the possibilities for research, an increasingly important challenge is to connect these methodological advances to theoretically motivated questions and appropriate research designs. The workshop therefore highlights theory-informed and interdisciplinary approaches that bring together diverse methods and perspectives. The event will consist of two days of research presentations (Days 1–2), followed by a full-day tutorial (Day 3) covering key stages of quantitative research, from study design and statistical modeling to power analysis.
