Meet your counselor

Hi there! I'm Ms. Elizabeth Barone, your school counselor. I am so excited to be here and a part of the Greyhound family. I've heard many wonderful things about the students and families in this community. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of it.

I have a long history of working with youth in various settings, and I have learned that school counseling is where I want to be. I love the youthful energy, creativity and thirst to find oneself that middle schoolers bring. I am passionate about creating a culture where every student feels safe, seen, included and inspired. A place where students feel able to express their authentic selves and can celebrate their similarities and differences with each other.

I completed my Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Outdoor Education at Prescott College in Prescott, AZ and am currently enrolled in a Masters in School Counseling and PPSC program at National University.

When I'm not on campus you can usually find me playing soccer or watching my daughter play soccer, exploring tidepools at the beach, camping with my family or working on a house project.
