This website was made in the summer of 2022 for the Public Health Informatics course at the University of Texas at Arlington. This site aims to inform Hispanic communities about HIV and its components, such as why it is an issue. At the same time, the website also seeks to inform Hispanic people, especially those at high risk, about HIV prevention and treatment options. As this is the case, the information, data, and resources given on this site are supported by academic analysis. People can find this fact-based support by looking at the website's "Reference" sections. This "About" page was created to tell people about this the people who made the website and to help with grading.
Currently, I have an associate's degree from Dallas college. With my degree, I have worked in both government-funded Medicaid and private cosmetic offices. The events I have faced while working have made me realize I want to work in health care, in an area where I can help communities. This is why I am now pursuing a bachelor's degree in public health at the University of Texas at Arlington. With my current knowledge, I am presently working as a registered dental assistant at a holistic dental office in Flower Mound and as a guest educator for Irving ISD.
