How was the Islander Cultural Alliance at TAMU-CC founded?
Islander Cultural Alliance (ICA) was founded in 2003 by the Baptist Student Organization and another organization to unite funding and students. ICA was housed under the Student Activities office, and the earliest findings of ICA are from Special Collections.
Dating back to as early as 2003, the Islander Cultural Alliance annually hosts multicultural programming at TAMU-CC from Hispanic Heritage Month, LGBTQ+ History Month, National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Indigenous Heritage Month, Women's History Month, to Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
