How has Fairport changed over the years?

Humans have changed Fairport harbor many times throughout the years. Fairport Harbor started off as Grandon, it was a part of the Connecticut western reserve but was sold to men from new England between 1796 & 1797. However, the very first people that lived in Fairport harbor were Erie Indians but early in the seventeenth century their villages were destroyed by the Iroquois.
