Where does the content come from?

The content is curated by the developer and is stored in a database that is distributed with the application.  The app does not make requests to pull in content from the Internet.  Most of the content is, of course, Scripture with devotions, prayers, comics, images, etc. mixed in.  All content is properly attributed and is used with permission.

How is the content selected as I scroll?

The daily Scripture posts appear throughout the day and will be a set of Scripture from the Old Testament, Psalms, New Testament and Proverbs.  The Scripture will be broken up into small posts so it is easier to read.  The daily Scripture posts will be broken up by a selection of random posts that break up the reading.  Each day there is also a prayer, pictures, some devotions and maybe a comic here and there.  Generally the flow of the posts will be, 5 daily Scripture posts, an image, 3 or 4 randomly selected Scripture posts, then another image.  This pattern then repeats infinitely.

If you read every daily Scripture post, by the end of the year you will have read the entire Bible!

What contents is included?

Other than the entire Bible, there are comics from http://www.reverendfun.com, devotions from Charles Spurgeon's Morning and Evening, devotions from my Aunt, Rev. Linda Stoddard, and a variety of inspirational images and prayers.

What Bible translation is used by HisScript?

The Bible translation in use is the World English Bible (WEB).  In general, licensing and copyrights prevent me from using many popular Bible translations.

Why is HisScript free?

As 1 Timothy 5:18 says, "The worker is worthy of his wages."  While it is true that creating the app, maintaining App Store and Play Store accounts and curating the content takes time, effort and money, it's something I enjoy doing so there is no need to charge for the app.  However, if you feel so moved, I happily accept donations.  A donate link, through PayPal, is on the home page.  You do not need a PayPal account to donate.
