PAAC Schedule

The restructuring of PAAC (Program for Avocational Archaeological Certification) is going forward under the energetic direction of our new Assistant State Archaeologist, Sarah A. Allaun. The PAAC website has been expanded and restructured and is a great place to start, whether you are new to the program or have taken PAAC classes in the past.

Introduction to Archaeology, a multi session class designed to introduce participants to the

field of archaeology, will start February 16 . It will be offered online only. This is a greatly

expanded version of the prior class, Introduction to Archaeology, which some of you may have taken in the past. In addition to covering the cultural heritage law in the US and Colorado, it will explore such topics as geoarchaeology and site formation processes, ethnoarchaeology, and commonly encountered artifacts.
