His research focuses on oceanic variability and associated climate and environmental changes, using theory, numerical simulation, and statistical analyses, with a particular emphasis on ocean circulation variability in the mid-latitudes. A key contribution of his work is the proposal of the "jet-trapped Rossby wave" theory, which accounts for westward propagation signals in the North Pacific and the decadal variability of the Kuroshio Extension. He has also investigated coastal sea level changes, revealing that sea level rise along the southeastern coast of Japan is induced by the northward shift of the Kuroshio Extension.

An Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics Engineering at the Muroran Institute of Technology, Hokkaido, Japan. He received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. from Chiba University in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and his Ph.D. in radar remote sensing from Tohoku University in 2021. From 2019 to 2020, he was a visiting Ph.D. researcher at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, where he worked on DInSAR algorithm development for glacier measurement. His research interests focus on SAR interferometry and polarimetry and their applications for disaster mitigation and infrastructure health monitoring.

A Professor at the Field Science Center for Northern Biosphere, Graduate School of Environmental Science, Hokkaido University. His research focuses on horticultural crops, with a particular emphasis on Haskap (blue honeysuckle, Lonicera caerulea), a berry native to Hokkaido. His key research areas include wild genetic resources, polyploidy breeding, endosperm culture, and interspecific hybridization, spanning crops such as Haskap, raspberry, apple, and ornamental plants. His current funded research focuses on building a foundation for polyploidy breeding that maximizes the effects of genome size increase.
Dr. Techn. Nabila Sofia Eryan Putri, S.T., M.T.
Affiliated with the Bandung Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Bandung), Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology. Her work focuses on space geodesy and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), particularly their applications in atmospheric and environmental studies. She is known for research in GNSS meteorology, including the estimation of atmospheric parameters such as precipitable water vapor, as well as spatial data analysis and geodetic measurement techniques. Through her research, she contributes to advancing satellite-based geospatial methods for understanding Earth systems and supporting practical geospatial applications.

An Indonesian professor of Food Science and Technology at IPB University (Bogor Agricultural University). She serves as Head of the Hokkaido University Liaison Office in Indonesia, where she promotes academic collaboration, student exchange, and research partnerships between Hokkaido University and Indonesian institutions. She is also a Hokkaido University Ambassador, contributing to the strengthening of educational and research ties between Japan and Indonesia.
