This Privacy Policy explains how Hisab – Expense & Net Worth Tracker ("Hisab", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the App.

Hisab is designed as a private, local-first personal finance application. Your financial records are primarily stored locally on your Android device and are not transmitted to servers operated by the developer.

Hisab does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, provide a phone number, or sign in to use the App.

4. PIN and Biometric Security

Hisab may allow you to protect access to the App using a local PIN and supported device biometric authentication, such as fingerprint or face authentication.

Biometric authentication is handled by the Android operating system and compatible device security mechanisms. Hisab does not receive or store your biometric information.

Your App PIN is used to protect access to the App and is not transmitted to the developer.

5. Backup and Restore

Hisab may provide functionality to back up and restore your financial records.

Backup data may contain information that you have entered into the App, including financial records.

Backup files are under your control. If you choose to save, transfer, upload, email, or share a backup file using another application or service, that transfer is controlled by you and may be subject to the privacy policy of the service you choose.

Hisab does not automatically upload your backup data to a developer-operated cloud server.

Hisab may allow you to export your records in formats such as Excel or PDF.

If you choose to share an exported file using Android's sharing functionality, the file is transferred according to the destination or service selected by you.

Such third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

Hisab does not use your financial records for targeted advertising.

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information for advertising purposes.

10. Data Retention

Your financial information remains stored on your device until you modify or delete it, remove the App, or otherwise remove the associated application data.

Backup and exported files may remain wherever you choose to save them until you delete those files.

Because Hisab does not maintain a developer-operated cloud database containing your financial records, the developer does not retain a copy of your local financial records.

11. Data Deletion

You can delete records and other information using the functionality provided within Hisab.

You can also remove locally stored App data by using your Android device's application settings or by uninstalling the App.

If you have created exported or backup files, you are responsible for deleting those files from the locations where you saved or shared them.

12. Data Security

Hisab is designed to keep financial records on your device rather than transmitting them to developer-operated servers.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Android device, including your device lock, PIN, biometric authentication, and any backup or exported files you create.

While we take reasonable measures to protect information within the App, no method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Hisab may rely on Android operating-system functionality for features such as:

Hisab does not control the privacy practices of third-party services that you choose to use.
