Hiroki Iimori (Member, IEEE) is a Senior Researcher at Ericsson Research, Japan, working on 3GPP MIMO technologies for 6G and 5G-Advanced radio systems. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. (Hons.) degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan, in 2017 and 2019, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with special distinction (summa cum laude) from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany, in 2022. From 2019 to 2022, he was a Research Associate at Jacobs University Bremen on a collaborative project with Continental AG; he also held guest and visiting researcher appointments at the University of Electro-Communications, Japan, and the University of Toronto, Canada. His research interests include wireless communications, MIMO systems, signal processing, machine learning, and optimization. He has authored or coauthored 120 publications, including 30 journal articles, and is an inventor on 28 patents and patent applications. His honors include the Ericsson Key Contributor Award (2025, 2026) and the Yoshida Scholarship Foundation Doctoral Fellowship.
