Mitchel and Frank were engaged in a lively conversation during the interview for an experienced sales representative position. With work experience in manufacturing, it didn't take long for them to hone-in on specific skills needed, such as computer acumen. When asked if he was familiar with SoleNix, Frank replied that while his own computing talents weren’t too shabby overall - he hadn't used any kind of management software yet!
When asked how he knew Sally Berg - the one who recommended him for the job - it turns out they had a history dating back to their high school days! Despite having references on hand, unfortunately Frank's list at home is outdated.
Mitchel extended an invitation to Frank, and after some discussion about scheduling around a tropical getaway, it was settled — two weeks from now. With that conclusion the formalities were put aside in favour of warm welcomes as Mitchel welcomed Frank to Itlex!
What assessment can be made of Frank Thompson's candidacy after reviewing his resume and interviewing him? Was Mitchel, the interviewer, successful in making a good judgement on hiring decisions - what worked well for him during the interview process and where did he go wrong if anywhere? Could any other mistakes have been avoided that weren't mentioned by Mitchel while evaluating this job applicant? Ultimately, should Frank Thompson be hired or not based on all pertinent factors presented to date regarding his qualifications and aptitude as determined through an analysis of both their interaction with one another?!
