LOST ME!
I sit in silence, lost in thought,
Among so many, yet always forgot.
They race ahead, so fast, so bright,
While I stay back, fading from sight.
Numbers and words slip away,
No matter how hard I try each day.
For them, the answers come with ease,
While I’m stuck, trying to please.
Marks don’t listen, they never stay,
Efforts drown, washed away.
Their victories shine, loud and clear,
While mine dissolve, year by year.
But maybe I am not that small,
Maybe I, too, will learn to stand tall.
Not today, but someday soon,
I’ll find my light beneath this moon.
