Welcome to Hirak Bagchi Sports Rehab Studio! Here, we proudly share the journey of our leading sports physiotherapist, whose dedication and expertise have made a significant impact in the world of table tennis.
Our story began in the serene hill station of Kurseong, where our founder started his career and established his first sports clinic. Driven by a passion for achieving greater professional milestones, he moved to Siliguri in 2012. There, during the London Olympics, he had the opportunity to meet and work with Soumyajit Ghosh, the National Table Tennis Champion from Siliguri. This marked the inception of his career as a sports physiotherapist.
Career Highlights:
2013: Started working with the Olympian Soumyajit Ghosh as a personal physiotherapist.
2013-2014: Joined the Indian National Table Tennis Camp, participating in various national camps and domestic tournaments.
2015: Attended the Asia Cup in Jaipur, marking the beginning of international exposure.
2016: Accompanied the national team to the Asian Olympic qualifications in Hong Kong and the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where he supported players including A. Sharath Kamal, Soumyajit Ghosh, Mouma Das, and Manika Batra.
After a valuable stint at a table tennis academy in Delhi, where he honed his skills as a mentor, he continued his journey in Kolkata, working with top-level players such as Poulami Ghatak, Soumyadeep Roy, and Sutirtha Mukherjee.
Notable Achievements:
2014: Soumyajit Ghosh won the National Championship Title in Pondicherry
2018: Sutirtha Mukherjee won the National Championship title in Ranchi.
2019: Krittwika S. R. secured a silver medal at the Odisha National Championship.
2021: Sreeja Akula and Snehit both won bronze medals at the National Championship in Panchkula.
2022-2023: Sreeja Akula won back-to-back National Championship titles in Shillong and Jammu.
2022: Sreeja Akula won gold in the mixed doubles event at the Commonwealth Games and received the prestigious Arjuna Award.
2024: Sreeja Akula clinched a bronze medal at the Panchkula National Championship and achieved remarkable success on the international stage, winning three WTT titles and reaching the Round of 16 at the Paris Olympics.
