I began HIPP Productions DJ service in 1988, shortly after winning a radio contest from WKTK in Gainesville, FL. The prize was $1000 and I used the money to purchase equipment and music. I got the idea to expand the project by connecting the players to my used band sound equipment. Before long I was playing music for local school functions and holiday parties. I expanded my music library in both CD and cassette form. I met my wife Amber in 1989 and soon enough, I was booking weddings by word-of-mouth advertising. As sound equipment became lighter and more powerful, I upgraded the sound equipment and mixer. My daughters encouraged me to reformat my library to digital format and now all of my music is on my computer. I constantly add to the collection and currently have nearly 50,000 songs.
