Pre-op Visit 1

Eighteen days before surgery I visited my PCP, Dr. Kane. All of my vitals were taken. My blood pressure was a little high, I don’t remember the numbers. Dr. Kane wrote it off as pre-op visit anxiety. Dr. Kane reviewed the results of the echocardiogram, which I reported in another page

An EKG was done and all looked OK. I have Premature Ventricular Contractions or PVCs. Dr. Tomford won’t be surprised by these in the OR as he was in 2004. I also have what is called Sinus Bradycardia, which means a slow heartbeat, so far as I can tell. On one copy of the EKG printout, Dr. Kane signed off on my upcoming surgery. I took that copy to Dr. Tomford’s office so he would have it tomorrow. And that was it. Another mile- stone passed on my way to surgery.
